*Foster Care*

You Can Make the Difference

in the Life of a Child

Foster Care is founded on the principle that all children have the right to be safe and to experience the love and support of a family.

Foster children are those who have been legally separated from their parents because of some form of abuse and/or neglect. The placement is often quite sudden and may be for a short or an extended period of time.  The children are boys and girls, infancy through age 17. They come from a variety of social and economic backgrounds, and from every race, religion and nationality. Each child’s situation is unique. Many of the children have special needs related to their emotional, physical or mental health.

For further information contact the Methodist Children's Home Society Placement Office at (313) 531-6190 or contact us via e-mail.
