Since 1917 the mission of Methodist Children's Home Society has been to care for needy children from throughout Michigan. At the core of our mission is the commitment to provide the highest quality care to the children that come to our door. Maintaining this commitment has represented an ever increasing challenge because the children entering our treatment programs are more and more damaged by the abuse and neglect they have suffered. Increased levels of care, unfortunately, translate directly into increased costs.

While state and county funding provide for a significant portion of our budget, these financial sources cover little more than the basics for the children we serve. Methodist Children's Home Society believes that these innocent victims of abuse and neglect deserve more than the basics!

You can help us provide some of the extra things that are important in the life of a child:

• a birthday gift
• participation in school sports
• music lessons or rental of a musical instrument
• a summer camp experience

 These are just some examples of the extras made available through our Guardian Angel Program. Your annual membership of $200 will sponsor one child for one year; that’s less than $4 per week to make a difference in someone’s life. Participation at $100 or $50 levels will also be appreciated.
